Yogi Berra was an American professional baseball player and coach who is widely considered to be one of the greatest players in Major League Baseball (MLB) history. He spent almost his entire MLB career with the New York Yankees and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972. During his playing days, Berra was a three-time American League Most Valuable Player (MVP) and a 15-time All-Star. He won 10 World Series championships as a player and made numerous contributions to the Yankees' dynasty from 1947 to 1963.
