The story goes that there was once a farmer who lived in a small village on the outskirts of town. He was a hardworking man who spent most of his days tending to his crops and taking care of his animals. One of his most prized possessions was an old mule that he had owned for many years. The mule was not as strong as it used to be, but it was still a reliable animal that the farmer trusted to help him with his work. One day, while the farmer was out in the fields, he heard a loud braying sound coming from the direction of his well. When he went to investigate, he was horrified to find that his old mule had fallen into the well and was unable to get out. The farmer tried everything he could think of to rescue the mule, but nothing seemed to work. As the hours passed, the farmer grew more and more desperate.
