Let’s Talk About Tiger Woods



Tiger Woods was born on December 30, 1975, in Cypress, California and it soon became clear that golf would be his life. From a young age, he was showing a natural talent for the sport, already winning amateur tournaments by the time he was still a teenager. In 1996, at the age of 20, he turned pro, and it didn't take long for him to make a name for himself as one of the best golfers in the world. Over the course of his career, he has achieved an incredible amount of success, winning 82 PGA Tour titles, a record-tying amount, and 15 major championships, including the Masters Tournament five times. He has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the PGA Player of the Year a record 11 times, and was the highest-paid professional athlete for several years. His success has made him one of the most recognizable and popular athletes in the world, and his influence has been felt far beyond the golf course. Tiger Woods has been a prominent figure in professional golf for decades, and his accomplishments speak for themselves. He has been ranked the worlds #1 in golf for a total of 683 weeks, including a record streak of 281 consecutive weeks. This incredible feat has cemented his place among the greatest golfers of all time. 

However, Woods has also faced numerous setbacks and challenges throughout his career. In 2009, he was involved in a highly publicized scandal involving his personal life, which led to a divorce and a period of time away from golf. During this difficult time, Woods experienced a great deal of public scrutiny and criticism which could have easily broken his spirit. But despite this setback, Woods remained committed to his sport and continued to work hard to regain his position as one of the top golfers in the world. He dedicated countless hours to practice and training, and eventually achieved a remarkable comeback. By 2013, Woods had regained his status as the world's top-ranked golfer, a position he held for several years afterward.

He has established the Tiger Woods Foundation, which provides educational opportunities for under-served youth. Through his talent, hard work, and perseverance, Tiger Woods has become one of the greatest golfers of all time and an inspiration to people around the world. And then there is this…..

On the 11th tee, two golfers are getting ready to play as a funeral procession passes by. As the group moves on, the first player stops, removes his cap, and bows his head.

The second golfer remarks, "That was a really nice thing to do." It's encouraging to see that there is still respect around the world.“ Well, I just felt like it’s only right,” the first golfer replies. “I was married to her for 30 years.”
